Guest Access
The cottage is just 2 hours from Auckland, 40 mins from Hamilton & 10 mins from Raglan Central. We are 1.6km down a private gravel road and across a working Dairy Farm. Plenty of safe, uncovered parking is available.

We welcome guests of all races, faiths, genders & sexual orientations. Check out our blog for recommendations about exploring the Raglan area. (Want to know the best place for photos? Where are the best fish & chips etc.) Gas is included for the BBQ, please clean it after you use it. Washing machine is in the laundry. View Amenities or House Rules.
Water & Fishing
Our beautiful Raglan Harbour is tidal, creating an ever-changing vista. Swimming, water sports & fishing are best one hour either side of the high tide. You can even catch a Snapper off the wharf (so bring yours fishing rods if you love fishing!) It pays to check the Raglan Harbour tides before you come if this is an important part of your stay, as it changes daily.

We would love all of guests to enjoy their peaceful stay at Raglan Waterfront Cottage. We have a few simple house rules similar to any airbnb, that we would appreciate you follow, such as treating our home like your own.
- Cleanliness: Guests should not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (moldy dishes, soiled carpets etc.) Our cleaning fee is included in your nightly rate and is only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations (laundry, vacuuming, etc).
- Litter: Guests should put their trash & recycling in designated bins in the lean too and be mindful of excessive amounts of trash. Extra Blue rubbish bags can be brought from the local Raglan supermarkets if you do have excessive rubbish.
- Damage: Where guests cause damage that is beyond normal wear and tear, we expect guests to inform us the Hosts of the damage as soon as possible and work with us to find a reasonable solution. Guests are expected to pay reasonable requests for reimbursement if they’re responsible for damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning costs. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We understand accidents happen and will always try to be understanding.
- Noise: Guests should respect designated quiet hours (10pm-8am) and should not disturb the surrounding community with a disruptive level of noise (loud music, shouting, slamming doors, etc).
- Commercial film and photography: Guests should not participate in film or photography that is intended for commercial use or profit, without documented permission from us, the Host.
- No Smoking or Vaping: We are a non smoking property. (This includes the use of tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, etc.) If you need to smoke, please ensure you are outside and well away from the accommodation and do not leave any butts/ rubbish on the ground, or in the gardens.
- No Fur Babies: We have our own lovely labrador Theo, who shares the property. So unfortunately we have a no pet policy. If you have a service animal or special circumstance please contact us.

Depending on the type of booking, we may need to verify your identity as part of the booking process. We may ask you to provide us with:
- Legal name, address and/or other personal information: In some cases, personal info is all we need to verify your identity—but this depends on a few factors, including the country you’re located in, or if we detect anomalies on our platform. We may ask you for this information after you had made and paid for your booking.
- Photo of your government ID: If we can’t verify you with the information above, or if a certain verification method isn’t available or effective in your country, we may ask you to provide a photo of your government ID. This could be a driver licence, passport or national identity card. We will ask you to email or WhatsApp this to us.
- Selfie: We may need to ask you for a photo of yourself in addition to the above photo of your government ID. Don’t worry—this selfie won’t be saved or shown to others If you can’t provide a selfie that matches your government ID, you can contact us for an alternative verification method.
If you’re not able to be verified with this information, or choose not to provide them, we may choose to cancel your booking and refund you. (Excluding any platform fees we may have paid from processing your booking) and if your booking was for more than 1 night, we may require 1 nights payment to cover the late cancellation.
We also require you to tick and agree to our Terms of Service at checkout, which includes our Booking Terms above and House Rules.
Your privacy is important to us
We are a business, holiday community built on trust. A fundamental part of earning that trust means being clear about how we use your information. We handle the information collected during identity verification for purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy and will not share it with anyone. We will delete it after your stay.
